Wholesome Foods Manufacturer Launches Organic Snackimals Chocolate Crisp Cereal and Multigrain Squarefuls

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Barbara’s, known for making delicious cereals and snacks from simple, wholesome ingredients, has expanded its portfolio of Non-GMO Project Verified breakfast options with the addition of Multigrain Squarefuls and Organic Snackimals Chocolate Crisp Cereal. This new Snackimals Cereal flavor is an extension of Barbara’s popular Snackimals line of animal-shaped cereals and cookies. Both items will make their debut at Natural Products Expo West, March 7-9, 2014 at the Barbara’s booth #2662.

“Our organic and natural fans deserve a variety of delicious, wholesome food options, and we’re always on the lookout for innovative ways to provide them with great-tasting products,” said Katrina Yolen, U.S. Director of Marketing at Barbara’s. “Following the success of our original Snackimals Cereals we were eager to create a more decadent offering for chocolate lovers, and our new Squarefuls are a deliciously crunchy counterpart to our popular Spoonfuls cereal. We’re thrilled to introduce these delicious Non-GMO cereals, with the perfect balance of whole grains and less sugar than traditional options, to attendees at Expo West!”

New to the Barbara’s portfolio, Multigrain Squarefuls are Non-GMO, high in fiber, and certified by the American Heart Association.*  A crunchy, sweet way to start the day, this heart healthy cereal is available in Maple Brown Sugar, made with real maple syrup, a touch of brown sugar, and 26 grams of whole grains per serving. Like all Barbara’s products, Multigrain Squarefuls are made without hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup or refined white sugar.

Like the other two Organic Snackimals Cereals, Barbara’s new Chocolate Crisp flavor contains 8 grams of whole grains per serving, only 7 grams of sugar per serving, and features three fun animal shapes, including the endangered animals: lions, elephants, and panda bears. Made with simple, good-for-you ingredients, such as organic corn and oat flours, and prebiotics for digestive health, this healthy and highly snackable breakfast cereal is Non-GMO Project Verified, fat free, and a good source of fiber and calcium. Organic Snackimals Cereals are also available in two other kid-friendly flavors: Cinnamon Crunch and Vanilla Blast.

Organic Snackimals Cereals join Barbara’s popular product line of Snackimals Cookies, available in five delicious flavors: Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, Peanut Butter, and Double Chocolate. Barbara’s game app “Snackimals Dash” is available for free download in the Google Play and Apple stores, and teaches kids about nutrition in a fun way
